If you’ve stumbled across my blog on this April Fools day of 2005, then God bless you! No one knows it’s here but you and me, friend. Thanks for helping me break the ice.
I’m Kathleen Popa, a writer whose first novel is coming to a bookstore near you in the Spring of 2007.
I’m also a compulsive reader – a sucker for a well-turned sentence, who keeps buying more and more books. I could use either a bigger book stand with stronger legs, or else self-discipline. Frankly, the book stand’s easier to come by.
Most of my friends would tell you if you came to my house you’d stand a good chance of getting read to. Once I find something good, I want to share it. But my living room and coffee pot are only so big, and I’ve got writing to do.
Thus the blog. When I take breaks I’ll stop in here and tell you what I’d read to you if you were on my couch. Where possible and legal I’ll direct you to excerpts.
Like this one, the first chapter of Donald Miller’s Searching for God Know’s What. Pour yourself some coffee and enjoy. I’ll be back later.
